There are two major subsets within the Libertarian Party, principled libertarians and pragmatic libertarians. Principled libertarians generally support no or practically no government. Pragmatic libertarians tend to believe that some amount of government (even a significant amount) is a necessary evil, but believe our current government does far more harm than good. GRLP Officers
